Rise and be healed in the name of Jesus.

What a fantastic night we experienced at our healing meeting at Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle last Wednesday evening 7 November.

At the conclusion of the service, no fewer than nine people decided to follow Christ while many others have been testifying of the miraculous things God has done following the time of prayer for healing conducted by our pastors and elders.  Tumours have gone, depressions have lifted and many other cures have taken place.

Around 600 people had shown up at the midweek Bible Study for the concluding night of the series by Pastor David Purse entitled The Great Physician Still Heals today. This excellent series by our Senior Pastor has reminded us how the power of God is still present to heal today, and the evidence has been in the great signs and wonders which have followed.

Before and after Pastor David had brought an inspiring final word on the subject of healing, one of  Northern Ireland’s leading gospel artists, Alex Robb, sang several songs, including the well-known hymn Arise and be healed which touched the worshippers present.

The book of James states “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:14, 15).

We are also informed in the book of Exodus “I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26).

At least 200 people responded to these verses by standing for prayer in what proved a  most significant healing meeting.
