Saved from the Lions

Saturday 10th February saw our youth complex transformed into the story of Daniel and the Lions den.

Children, some from the Whitewell church, and from the local area were all invited to get involved as the story of Daniel was told.

Some scenes were acted out. The children also had the opportunity to take part in crafts and play games. Accomodating around 20 children per group, the activites had to be run a number of times to allow all the children to take part. The morning finished by the children singing a number of choruses.

While this was all going on the adults were treated to a coffee morning in the cafe area of the youth centre. Money was raised in the coffee morning from donations and it is being sent fully to our missionary work in Kenya.

Thank you to one and all who were involved in the day - all those who took part in the activities, helped in the coffee bar or helped in the crafts and drama.

We trust that many of the children who took part in the day will remember the story they saw and heard, and trust the same God who saved Daniel in his hour of crisis, and who can still meet each one of us at the point of our greatest need today.
