Toyota Hilux Jeeps ready for mission work in Africa

We have just this morning taken delivery of two Toyota Hilux jeeps to help in our mission outreaches in Kenya and Ethiopia.

Both mission works have been relying on old and unsuitable vehicles in which to transport both people and supplies. Earlier this year, after visiting both mssion works, Pastor David Purse and the team committed to purchasing two new vehicles, one for each mission work. Money was raised in a special gift day - Sunday the 3rd September, and the congregation of the Whitewell church gave sacrificially, more than meeting both the costs of the two vehicles, and indeed the additional cost to transport them to their respective destinations.

The vehicles had been ordered just a few weeks before that gift day, but as with most new vehicles, there was then a waiting period for them to be completed.  This morning they have arrived in Belfast. They now begin their journey to Africa where they will make a real difference to the teams based in both Ethiopia and Kenya.

Once again our thanks to all those in our congregation, to those online who have supported this project, and to all those who have given towards this need. We trust that the vehicles will provide many years of good service.
