Week of Prayer for Alive Belfast

The Metropolitan Tabernacle is holding a week of prayer in advance of our Alive Belfast mission which takes place from the 9th-13th September.

On Monday 28 August to Friday 1 September, we will be meeting in the Magee Room from 7 to 8 am to pray for the mission and our two special guest speakers from the USA, Bayless and Harrison Conley.

We want to encourage as many people as possible to soak this mission in prayer. E.M. Bounds said “Prayer is of transcendent importance. Prayer is the mightiest agent to advance God’s work. Praying hearts and hands only can do God’s work. Prayer succeeds when all else fails.”

Tea and toast are served afterward to help people needing a quick bite before travelling on to work. We are trusting God for a good response from our members to the important call of prayer on behalf of our city and nation. Please note: the Wednesday night Bible study is also replaced this week with an extra night of prayer for the mission held in the minor hall.  (The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16.)
