The Befrienders Ministry is a body of Christians who desire to help the disabled people of Belfast and the surrounding areas to enjoy fellowship within our Church.

To accommodate this we offer them  the opportunity to share in worship, praise and the preaching of God’s Word by bringing them to the Tabernacle each meeting. Our disabled friends come from many areas including Bangor. Comber and Carrickfergus as well as throughout Belfast. They are brought to Church by a team of dedicated drivers, in our fleet buses which are especially adopted to carry non able-bodied passengers. At Church they are each given a friend who stays with them throughout the service then escorts them back to their bus. Over the years since the Befrienders Ministry was founded, we have witnessed a wonderful growth and strengthening in many of our disabled friends faith, bringing them to a place where they can confidently say,

we are in all these things become more than a conqueror through him who loved us.”    [ROMANS 8:37]

The befrienders ministry, originally founded by Terri Fairfowl in 1997, is led by Jim Bailie and supported by many volunteer carers and bus drivers.
