Belfast Outreach
The Belfast Evangelistic outreach is an extension of the ministry of The Metropolitan Tabernacle to help fulfill the Great commission of Jesus Christ by taking the message of Salvation to all peoples of the world.
Our primary objective for is for open-air outreach, preaching the Gospel, tract/gospel leaflet distribution and witnessing one to one on every street, in the city-centre in Belfast and reaching every town in Northern Ireland. We believe we have a Church which we can invite people to where they can experience the reality and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ under anointed preaching and teaching of Gods inspired word.
We have also extended the distribution of gospel literature by obtaining the Gospel of John in five different languages; so far we have reached mostly Romanians and Polish folk who are either busking or selling the Big Issue.
Much of the literature we distribute has been designed and printed in The Tabernacle. In 2010 it is estimated that over 70,000 items which were printed in the Tabernacle have been distributed to those on the streets.
Once a month we extend our outreach by walking the streets of the city centre of Belfast engaging people were they are. Time and again the Lord has led us to those who are lost and in need of our wonderful Saviour.
As well as the gospel tracts distribution we also are able to give many young people CDs of our church, questionnaires or invitations to our various youth activities.
We consider ourselves greatly blessed to be able to share the gospel message and love of Christ to those who have disabilities. We use every opportunity to promote the Befrienders Ministry so that no person is excluded.
Of course, we desire to abide by local laws and to be a real benefit to those in the city and we have met with PSNI, Roads Service, and the Belfast Chamber of commerce to seek permission to use central area of Corn Market as we deliver the message of the Gospel.
If you are a member of the Tabernacle and feel led to help in this important ministry, do contact the church who will put you in touch with Peter and the Belfast outreach team.
