The bus ministry at the Metropolitan Tabernacle has evolved into a huge enterprise all of its own. Picking up people from many towns throughout the province, our bus ministry provides transport to and from the weekly services at the Tabernacle.
To make it easier for you to travel to the Tabernacle we have a fleet of mini-buses which are driven by our extremely dedicated team of volunteers; notwithstanding we have contracted additional buses from Translink, which also operate throughout the province. Each of these buses has an escort from the Tabernacle who can be contacted by phone and arrangements made to collect you at the nearest pickup point to your home. The bus ministry operates during all of our services and most of our special events. We also provide buses for all our youth organisations and Sunday Schools.
Buses operate in the following areas:
Antrim, Armagh, Ballyclare, Ballyduff, Ballymena, Bangor, Belfast, Carrickfergus, Dundonald, Dunmurray, Finaghy, Glengormley, Greenisland, Holywood, Lisburn, Lurgan, Markethill, Monkstown, Newtownabbey, Newtownards, Rathcoole, Richill.
Maintaining our fleet of buses is an arduous task and keeps Colin Blake our fleet mechanic busy at our on-site garage. Should you require transport, contact us, and we will put you in touch with the bus escort in your area.
If you are over 25 - with a full UK driving license, and have been a church member for more than 6 months and would like to get involved as a driver of one of our min-buses, contact the church directly.
